Scholarship Guidelines/Requirements
Scholarship Application

Those who audition must be between 6 and 18 years of age and ready to demonstrate musical talent vocally or on an instrument.

These are merit scholarships and not for students without prior musical training. Music selections need to be memorized and winners will be expected to play in the Bucks County Performing Arts Institute’s Scholarship Concert on the weekend of May 30th, 2009 location to be determined.

Merit Scholarships are based on talent alone with no discrimination as to race, creed, color or gender, but those who audition must reside or study music in Bucks County. Scholarships must be used towards payment of music lessons or classes.This is not for musicians without prior training. It is required thataudition pieces be memorized. The terms of the scholarships offered may include a requirement to participate in additional musicianship classes and/or performing ensembles. Judges will be comprisedof music professionals from the Mid-Atlantic region.
